JEFFERSON, Wis. (May 26, 2020) – Ten college students joined the Insight FS team last week to explore agricultural career opportunities this summer as Insight FS Interns.
While the program looks a little different this year, with the increase in virtual meetings and trainings, the Insight FS interns are already hitting fields, crop scouting and learning about new precision technologies. Four students are part of the GROWMARK internship program and the other six are Exploring Ag interns.
Every intern is expected to present key learnings and project results at the end of their internships. Those projects range from marketing video production to field trial results.
“We are excited to have these intelligent, hard-working interns with us this year,” said Ben Huber, Agronomy manager at Insight FS. “We are proud to offer the internship program and give these students a look into what a career in agriculture can build to.”
The Insight FS interns include:
Hailey Krutzik: Hailey will graduate in December for University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in Animal Science. She will serve as a Northern Agronomy Intern this summer.
Justin Fox: Justin is also a University of Wisconsin-Platteville student studying Agribusiness and Animal Science. He joins Insight FS as a Southern Agronomy Intern and plans to graduate next May.
Jake Steffes: Jake also joins Insight FS from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, as an Agribusiness major. Jake will assist the Precision Ag team this summer and work with new technologies throughout the state.
Emily Hora: Emily joins our marketing department as the marketing intern this summer where she will travel the state producing videos. Emily plans to graduate in May 2021 from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Communications.
Derek Miller: Derek is one of Insight’s 6 Exploring Ag interns. He attends Southwest Technical College and will work out of the Insight FS Spring Green branch this summer.
Montana Klahn: Montana is majoring in Agribusiness Science Tech at Southwest Technical College and is working at the Brodhead branch this summer.
Adam Graff: The team in Waupun is thrilled to have Adam joining the team for the summer. Adam plans to graduate in May 2021 from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Agronomy.
Owen Zakrzewski: Owen joins the team at Insight FS – Marshfield this summer. Owen is pursuing a degree in agribusiness at University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Brianna Arneson: Brianna joins our Marxville team this summer as an Agribusiness/Farm Technology major at Blackhawk Tech. Brianna graduated in May.
Sawyer Eiden: Sawyer is also a University of Wisconsin- Platteville student looking forward to a May 2022 graduation in Ag Education Tech or Ag Engineering Tech.
